Publicado: 2016-08-17

The lucky winners of the Bath Chronicle 2016 Win a Wedding competition have been announced as Hayley Squance and Christopher Brasier from Saltford.

The couple, who both work as nurses at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, have won a dream wedding day worth more than £9,000.

Hayley, 30, and Chris, 42, will tie the knot at a civil ceremony at the Bath Function Rooms on Friday, February 24, 2017. The bride will walk down the aisle in a dress from Krystle Brides carrying a bouquet from Bath Spa Florists.

They will then be treated to an evening buffet for 80 guests at Bath Function Rooms above Grade II-listed Green Park Station.

All other important wedding details are being provided, including sharp suits from Slaters Menswear, bridal hair and makeup by Grace Kingsley, rings from Jody Cory Goldsmiths and a dream wedding cake from the Bath Cake Company.

The lucky couple enjoyed a tour of their future wedding venue at Bath Function RoomsBride-to-be Hayley, said: "We are extremely grateful to the Bath Chronicle for the opportunity they have given us.

"It is amazing to have everything arranged for us so that we can share this special day with all of our friends and family.

"Obviously I am particularly excited about the dress. We have also had a tour of the venue, which was fantastic.

"We wouldn't have been able to do anything like this without winning the competition.

"It has made our family complete."

The Brasier-Squance wedding is a true family affair. The couple have two children: four-year-old Eryn, and six-months-old Ellis.

Hayley, who has lived her whole life in the Saltford area, only decided to enter the competition when she saw the date of the wedding fell on Ellis' first birthday - which also conveniently lies on the one year anniversary of the couple's engagement.

"We are only newly engaged and having just had Ellis, we weren't really thinking about getting married in the near future," said Hayley. "We would have had to save for a long time to have anything like this.

"To be perfectly honest, we would have only been able to afford a really small wedding without all of our friends and family.

"The Win a Wedding competition has given us the opportunity to have them with us and we are so grateful for that."

The family would like to use some of their savings to go on a familymoon holiday next year.

"We would like to take the children somewhere nice and sunny. We have never been abroad as a family and we would love to take the kids on a plane."

The couple will tie the knot on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Bath Function Rooms.
